Ty Taylor, Austin Commercial

Ty Taylor is the Vice President of Risk Management at Austin Commercial headquartered in Dallas, Texas, a large and diversified general contractors operating in the United States. Since beginning this role in 2016, Ty oversees all insurance-related matters for Austin Commercial, including Austin’s Controlled Insurance Program and Sub-Default Program. In addition to insurance oversight, Ty is directly responsible for all risk reviews, proposal reviews, and prime contract negotiations. 

Ty began his career with Austin in 2000 after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Accounting. Ty has held various accounting positions within Austin, served as the Director of Internal Audit for Austin Industries and its operating companies, as well as the Director of Risk Management for Austin Bridge & Road.

Steve Foster, Marsh

Steve Foster is a Senior Vice President of the South Central Zone Surety Practice in Dallas, Texas.  During his career, Steve has handled accounts with bond programs ranging from as small as $5 Million to in excess of $10 Billion.  During his tenure, Steve has dealt with many complex issues for his clients such as: Sovereign Immunity, Joint Ventures, Public Private Partnerships, Private Equity Mergers and Acquisitions and Bankruptcies.  Steve handles both Commercial Surety and Contract Surety accounts with an emphasis on the construction industry.

Prior to joining Marsh in 2021, Steve held a similar position with Willis Towers Watson for sixteen years and Travelers Surety for six years as a Senior Underwriter in their Construction Bond Department.  He also spent two years as a property claims adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company. 

Steve graduated from The University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a degree in Business Administration – Finance in 1994.  He is an active member of The Associated General Contractors of America, TEXO, the Associated Builders and Contractors, the Houston Contractors Association, Construction Financial Management Association (2009 - 2011 and 2019 – Present, Board of Directors for the DFW Chapter) and The Surety Association of America.
