What makes your organization stand out? We are a GC owned by two veterans. Our focus is on

government and public projects including colleges and K-12. We are also a Christian owned company,

so we also work with churches in ground up construction and remodels.

How long have you been in the construction industry? 3.5 years

How did you end up in the construction industry? After recently graduating from college with a BBA, I

had some old contacts that had a need for accounting staff. After getting some experience, I migrated

over to my current position which is a lot more challenging and I love it!

What is your professional pet peeve? Lack of, or poor communication.

Organization or company other than your own that you most admire?

What led you to join CFMA? Looking for growth in my position and will most likely pursue the CCIPF

certification soon. I also want to be able to network with others in the field since our accounting

department is limited. I want to be able to learn from others.

What are you looking to achieve from being a member? I want to learn more about the industry and

learn the tools to be effective in my position as I grow with our company.

Favorite sports team?

What hobbies do you enjoy? I enjoy gardening, repurposing & updating furniture, and general

crafting. I also love to travel.

What is there about you that people would be surprised to learn? I spent 23 years in the insurance

industry before I went back to college and got a bachelor’s in accounting. I’ve only been out of school

about 4 years.
